and I'm OFF! to San Jose, California for work. I'll be here until Thursday. I hope it's not all work and no play. I should get out 2nite and get some pics of the area so stay tuned. McAllister is back home, holding down the fort with Lucy! I already miss them BUNCHES.Anyone have ideas on where to go? I've heard about Santana Row which should be a fun stop for dinner. Let me know!

Same here; not much of a West Coast traveler.
I haven't been since the 90's... and that was Irvine for some Quest Training. My first CF Chang's experience... :p
But as I recall, the sites and sounds were unlimited!

My mentor at SU lived out in San Jose and his sister still does so he'll try and report back good spots for eats, etc...
For starters, he loves the Redwood Forrest not far on RT 17 just outside the city (on route to Santa Cruz). The Los Gatos (sp?) has a very nice Botanical Gardens... And look for Tide Pools, at low tide is suppose to be great. All these little pools with sea creatures, urchins, etc are made visible at low tide...
That might get you started!
