color visualizer.

I'm excited about how many comments I got to our painting dilemma! Back in October, I used Sherwin William's Color Visualizer tool to help lay out color schemes we painted our kitchen walls and cabinets. I'm a visual person, and while doing it online isn't perfect, it does give me ideas of colors before walking into the paint store. (i will check ur recommended book Mom - I promise)

So above are two of the colors I am considering. 'Blonde' (warm light brown) and 'Haven' (green). Using the Color Visualizer, I included them on separate walls for all to compare! And yes, we will be keeping the orangey-mixture atleast for now in the living room.

I must be a moron because I am unable to access the page other thatn green. However, my vote is officially for the blonde, considering the yellow in kitchen and orange in liv. rm. Orange and green-hmmm?????? Even if you change the liv. rm. later - you have more options for it if you stay more in the browns.

I also go with the Blonde, cream . To much of a contrast if your living area is orange in color .What a interior designer said is to go with a matching flow from room to room that match .

Hmm...I guess you have to keep in mind the "flow" like everyone else is saying. However, I love the green--thats the exact color I want in my dining room. How was painting the kitchen cabinets? Was it a difficult task? I need to do that in my new house...

I'm on the FENCE. The room actually has a huge window and a large arch into the living room - so not a lot of wall space. I think the green would be a nice PUNCH of color and go nicely with the orange, but that's just me.

Next step - get some SAMPLES and let them sit on the walls awhile.

Marisa - painting cabinets is not 'difficult' at all, it's TEDIOUS and slow. There is a photo album of it on my projects page. I have LOTS of tips if you are interested, drop me an email thru my profile page.
